Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay met the family members of the house collapse victims on Monday. He also visited the family of the biker who was killed after falling into a pothole last week. “The criminal negligence of the minister, the MLA, the local DJB officials and the DSIIDC officials in laying the sewer line in the area is responsible for the building collapse,” Upadhyay said. He also blamed the government for the suicide of a party worker.

“The DJB had full knowledge about the water logging in about 20 houses but they did not take any concrete steps to solve this problem,” he added. Water minister Kapil Mishra rubbished the claims and said: “It’s a roof collapse, what role can the DJB have in a roof collapse?”
