NEW DELHI: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test was conducted at 851 centres in 91 cities in India and abroad on Tuesday.

The CBSE, which conducted the test, said in a statement the exam was conducted successfully.

It said 6,53,156 candidates had registered for the exam.

The CBSE said it had deployed 851 centre superintendents, 1824 centre observers, and 527 representatives for the smooth conduct of the examination.

Chairman CBSE RK Chaturvedi visited various centres.
