Colleges to see marginal dip in DU’s fourth cutoff list

In Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), there are only a few seats left in Economics (hons) course. The college is likely to close admission for B.Com (hons). “The dip will be marginal as there are only a few seats left in the Economics course,” said RP Rustagi, principal, SRCC.

In Lady Shri Ram College (LSR), admission is open only in five-six courses, including B.Com (hons), Political Science (hons), English (hons), Journalism (hons) and Mathematics (hons).

“We have filled more than 50% of the total seats. The dip in cutoff will be in the range of 0.25-1 percentage points in some of the courses,” said an LSR official.

Hindu College is also likely to decrease its cutoff by 0.25-0.50 percentage points.

Ram Lal Anand (RLA) College has closed admission for Political Science (hons), and History (hons). The college may decrease its cutoff by 0.33-1.5 percentage points.

“We have filled around 383 seats out of the total 608 seats. Most of the courses will remain open for admission in the fourth list,” said Vijay K Sharma, college principal.

Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD) College has filled 711 seats of the total 1,179 seats. The college has closed admission in five-six courses and might drop the cutoff by 0.25-1.50 percentage points, said principal Gyantosh K Jha.

SGTB Khalsa College, which has filled around 50% of the total 780 seats, will keep the science courses open for admission, said principal Jaswinder Singh.

At Ramanujan College, around 500 admissions were held and only about 300 seats are vacant under the fourth list. “The dip in cutoff will be between 0.25-2.00 percentage points,” said principal SP Aggarawal.

The B.Com (hons) course at the College of Vocational Studies may remain open and see a dip of 0.50 percentage points. Out of the seven vocational courses, only two will be open for admission and see a dip of 1 percentage point.

JNU ADMISSION TO BEGIN FROM JULY 18

Jawaharlal Nehru University will begin admitting students for the upcoming session from July 18. Students, who have cleared the entrance exam and interviews, can get their documents verified at the Convention Centre on campus.
