NEW DELHI: A 27-year-old BPO employee was found dead in a pool of blood at his friend’s apartment in Dwarka Sector 16 on Sunday night.

Police said Saurabh Ghai, an Uttam Nagar resident, was found naked. His friend Amit Puri, a former BPO employee, told police that Ghai died when he fell from the balcony of his third-floor flat.
He allegedly rushed down to check on his friend. Police said Puri wasn’t fully dressed. Police suspect both men were both drunk.
The two reportedly met each other for the first time at the flat after they became friends on Facebook 20 days ago. Police said the two had been chatting with each other since then.
Police are questioning Puri to establish the sequence of events that led to Ghai’s death.
Deependra Pathak, joint commissioner of police (southwestern range), told HT that Ghai’s body was sent to a government hospital for autopsy. No case was registered till Monday night.
“We are waiting for Ghai’s autopsy report to ascertain the exact cause of his death. Prima facie we don’t suspect any foul play. All possible angles in the matter will be examined,” Pathak said.
A senior police officer said Amit Puri lived alone in the flat. Ghai lived with his family in Uttam Nagar and worked at a BPO in Gurgaon.
