NEW DELHI: Former Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar, arrested on rape charges, was on Thursday remanded to one-day police custody after police said he was not cooperating.

NEW DELHI: Former Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar, arrested on rape charges, was on Thursday remanded to one-day police custody after police said he was not cooperating.

Special Judge Poonam Chaudhry extended the remand till Friday.

Public prosecutor Balbir Singh sought Kumar’s two-day police custody, saying he was not cooperating in the probe and the investigating agency has to recover original electronic device used for making the objectionable video.

Kumar’s lawyer Pradeep Rana said the police could not find the source of the alleged video. Kumar was arrested on September 3 after a woman complained of sexual harassment. The woman had figured in an objectionable video with him.
