1 killed, 2 hurt in accident at Sarai Kale Khan
One person died while two other were injured in an accident involving two buses at Millennium bus depot in Sarai Kale Khan on late Saturday night.
One person died while two other were injured in an accident involving two buses at Millennium bus depot in Sarai Kale Khan on late Saturday night.
The victims were cleaning a bus at the depot, when another bus crashed into them.
“Ravi, a resident of Khichripur was declared brought dead at the hospital, while Satveer and Suraj are still recuperating. The incident took place at around 1 am,” a senior police officer said.
According to one of the injured persons, they were cleaning the bus, when a low floor bus entered the depot at high speed and hit the bus they were cleaning.
The impact of the collision was such that the bus toppled over and fell onto another DTC bus. The two cleaners were trapped between the two buses.
The driver of the bus, identified as Amit Kumar, had been arrested, and a case of causing death due to negligent and rash driving has been registered against him.
