A 15-year-old girl has alleged that she was abducted by an uncle-nephew duo from outside her east Delhi residence late last month, driven to a room in Ghaziabad and sexually assaulted, police said on Thursday.

Police said the incident was reported by the victim's mother. The girl is a student of class 9 at a local government school in Pandav Nagar and was allegedly abducted on May 21.

"According to the victim, she was coming back home from school when the accused duo intercepted her and forced her into a car," said an officer.

The duo, later identified as 52-year-old Fakhira and his nephew Pradeep, drove her to a small room located in a nondescript area in Ghaziabad where they assaulted her and then took turns to rape her.

The victim claimed the duo filmed her and threatened to make the clip public if she told anyone about her ordeal before being dropped outside her house at around 10pm on the same day. She kept quiet for a fortnight but, on Wednesday, related the tale to her mother, who then approached the police.

"She was taken to LBS Hospital accompanied by a female officer and a medical examination was conducted. This confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted and a case of abduction and gang rape was," the officer said.

The police said they were conducting raids in several areas around NCR to arrest the duo.
