2 die as tanker falls over a three-wheeler

Two persons, including a junior engineer from the Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam, were killed during an accident at Dhaulana area of Ghaziabad after a chemical tanker turned over a passing three-wheeler carrying around a dozen of passengers on Saturday morning, police said.
The accident occurred near Sapnavat police-post area of Dhaulana near Chajjupur village when the truck-tanker driver was unable to control the vehicle and turned over a passing-by three-wheeler.
"Seven others were injured who were crushed inside the three-wheeler. They were evacuated after the truck was lifted with the help of cranes and rushed to nearby hospitals," said Capt MM Baig, superintendent of police.
Two minors and a woman were among the injured and were reported out of danger.
The dead were identified as Ankur Kumar (25) and Noor Jahan (32), the police said.

Kanpur violence: Alleged mastermind and accused builder Haji Wasi arrested
Haji Wasi, a builder accused of funding the Kanpur violence that broke out on June 3 last was arrested on Monday night, said Joint commissioner of police, Anand Prakash Tiwari . According to police, Haji Wasi was the main financer of the alleged mastermind of the Kanpur violence, Zafar Hayat Hashmi. His son Rahman was arrested two days ago. Wasi was named in three FIRs by the Special Investigation Team investigating the Kanpur violence.

Anti-Corruption Bureau raids 5 locations of Cong MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan in K'taka
