A fast-track court of additional sessions judge Virender Kumar Goyal held guilty Vijay Kumar alias Monti and Vijay Kumar alias Mannu of kidnapping Anil for ransom, murdering him and destroying the evidence.
“The offences committed has caused a huge loss to the family of the deceased (Anil). Due to his murder, his family has also suffered a lot and lost the love and affection along with financial loss.
“Not only this, a ransom of Rs 10 lakh was demanded from the father of the deceased,” the court said, adding the case does not fall within the ambit of rarest of rare category. It also imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on both the convicts.
The court acquitted three other accused Azim Mian, Nayed and Chander Kant Pathak of all charges saying the prosecution was not able to prove offences against them
