21-yr-old dies in truck-bike collision
A 21-year-old man was killed, while his friend was injured, after a speeding truck hit their motorcycle in northeast Delhi’s Khajoori Khas area in the wee hours of Sunday. The errant truck diver, Akil Mohammed, has been arrested and the vehicle impounded.

The deceased has been identified as Vijender. The police said Vijender and his friend Ritesh were riding on their bike when the incident took place.
The impact of the collision was such that both fell off the bike and sustained injuries.
“They were rushed to the GTB Hospital, where Vijender was declared brought dead. Ritesh is recuperating and his is said to be out of danger,” said a police official.
A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against Akil Mohammad, the police said.
