“The woman has been identified as Neha Tomar, a resident of Ghaziabad. She was about to board a Kingfisher flight on Sunday when the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials stopped her after they noticed cartridges in her bag as it passed through the X-ray scanner,” said a senior police officer.
When questioned, police said she was clueless about the cartridges.
“She said her elder son had got the cartridges home after he found them while playing with his friends near a warehouse some days ago. Though she had asked him to throw them away, he had put them in her bag, as a sort of a prank,” said the officer.
Police said they had to register a case under the Arms Act after they did not find the replies given by the housewife satisfactory.
