28-yr-old shot at, robbed of bike in south Delhi

A 28-year-old man was allegedly shot at and robbed of his motorcycle by three youths near Okhla Tank in south Delhi’s Sarita Vihar area late on Saturday night.

A 28-year-old man was allegedly shot at and robbed of his motorcycle by three youths near Okhla Tank in south Delhi’s Sarita Vihar area late on Saturday night.

The victim has been identified as Ramveer of Faridabad in Haryana. His motorcycle was traced at Abul Fazal Enclave in Jamia Nagar, police said.

Ramveer, who suffered a bullet wound in his right hand, is recuperating at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Trauma Centre, police said.

The incident took place when Ramveer was returning home after dropping his friend at his residence in south Delhi's Harkesh Nagar, police said.

“On his way back home, three men stopped him and tried to rob him. When he resisted, they shot at him and fled on his motorcycle,” said the officer, adding that a case has been registered and the police are looking for the assailants.
