A self-confessed kleptomaniac, Gandhi turned shoplifter after her family suffered losses in business. Though the family requested her to put a stop to it, she just wouldn't.

Crowded markets were her favourite hunting ground. She was on the prowl in Rani Bagh on Friday when the husband of a woman whose bag she had lifted alerted the police.
