4 airport staff arrested for mobile thefts

Delhi Police have arrested four airport employees who used to steal mobiles from consignments meant for export and import. The employees were posted at the cargo terminal and were held by the security manager of an export company.

Delhi Police have arrested four airport employees who used to steal mobiles from consignments meant for export and import. The employees were posted at the cargo terminal and were held by the security manager of an export company.

“Security manager of Celebi, a firm which deals with export and import has filed a complaint. According to him, they were receiving complaints of mobile theft from consignments and on Saturday we caught four employees red-handed,” said a senior police officer.

The four arrested employees are Hemant Kumar, Madhur Singh, Kuldeep Kumar and Sanjay Kumar.

“They were caught from the ramp area of cargo complex when they were stealing phones. They got the consignment from export ware house,” the officer added.

A case under sections 380, 411 and, 34 has been filed at the IGIA police station.
