A 45-year-old woman was critically injured after she mysteriously fell off from the third floor of her Mukherjee Nagar house on Friday, police said.

Police said Suman was depressed due to her failed marriage. Investigation suggests that she first slashed her wrist and then jumped off the third floor of her house around 3am.

“She had been depressed after her divorce four years ago. She has two kids. Her ex-husband, a software engineer, is in the USA. We are awaiting to record her statement,” said a police officer. No suicide note was recovered.
