50th Goa day festivities colour IITF
The many colours of vibrant Goa came to life at the Goa Day celebrations in the city on Friday. The annual event had special significance this year as it also celebrating the 50th year of the liberation of Goa.
The many colours of vibrant Goa came to life at the Goa Day celebrations in the city on Friday. The annual event had special significance this year as it also celebrating the 50th year of the liberation of Goa.
The celebrations coincided with the IITF, where Goa has also set up a pavilion. Goa chief minister Digamber Kamat and Minister of State, Parliamentary affairs, Rajiv Shukla were also present at the event.
“It is a very proud moment for me, since we are celebrating the golden jubilee for our liberation. This is also a time to look at the past and see what we have achieved and take a look at what more we need to do in the future,” Kamat said.
Talking about the improvements the state needs, Shukla said, “Goa desperately needs a new airport.” Kamat announced that a road map for the state’s development for the next 25 years is under preparation.
