Special CBI Judge Talwant Singh remanded the absconding OC treasurer in judicial custody on Friday after he surrendered before the court which had earlier issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against him.
He failed to comply with the conditions imposed on him after he was granted bail in another case related to the Games held last year. Jayachandran was also named as an accused for his role in awarding a contract to a Swiss firm at an exorbitant cost for installing Timing Scoring and Results (TSR) system for the Games.
