Acid thrown on woman in S Delhi

A 21-year-old woman was reportedly attacked by two motorcycle-borne men in south Delhi’s Neb Sarai area on Wednesday. Police have arrested one of the accused, Nisar.

A 21-year-old woman was reportedly attacked by two motorcycle-borne men in south Delhi’s Neb Sarai area on Wednesday. Police have arrested one of the accused, Nisar. His accomplice, Babloo, is absconding.

The victim was walking towards her home when the accused threw acid on her, police said. The woman, who separated from her husband recently, was reportedly forcing Nisar to marry her, police said.

Rubina suffered 12 per cent burns on the back and has been admitted to the AIIMS trauma centre.
