AIR commentator Rajiv Saxena passes away in Delhi

An AIR commentator, who was to fly to Beijing on Monday to cover Beijing Olympics, breathed his last in New Delhi, his family said.

Rajiv Saxena (46) died on Sunday in his sleep due to a heart failure.

His body was cremated this morning in the presence of family members and a number of colleagues from the AIR, including senior officials.

Saxena, who was with the AIR for about 24 hours, was to catch a flight for Beijing this morning to cover Olympics, which is beginning on August eight.

Wife Indu Pandey, who works with a private FM radio, survives him.
