Decks have been cleared for RLD chief Ajit Singh’s fourth inning as a central minister. He is expected to be the new civil aviation minister.
While sources close to Singh said no date has yet been fixed for his swearing-in, the RLD formally joined the ruling UPA on Monday. Singh handed over a letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi in this regard.
With RLD’s induction, the UPA’s strength has gone up from 272 to 277 in the 543-member Lok Sabha.
