All religious meet before Aug 16?

To test waters ahead of the call for an indefinite fast by Anna Hazare, which is scheduled to take place on August 16, activist Arvind Kejriwal’s forum ‘India Against Corruption’ will hold a ‘Sarv Dharma Prarthana Sabha’ at Jantar Mantar on Thursday. Rajesh Ahuja reports.

To test waters ahead of the call for an indefinite fast by Anna Hazare, which is scheduled to take place on August 16, activist Arvind Kejriwal’s forum ‘India Against Corruption’ will hold a ‘Sarv Dharma Prarthana Sabha’ at Jantar Mantar on Thursday.

According to organisers, they have intimated the Delhi police about the event which will be attended by religious figures from all faiths. The sabha is scheduled to take place between 11am and 1pm.

The organisers have sought the permission for a gathering of around 1000 people. Sources in Delhi police said they had not given nod for the event but they might allow it.
