There were minor incidents of arguments between groups of political parties in Ambedkar Nagar, Janakpuri and Timarpur but police said no violence was reported from any part of the Capital.

“In Ambedkar Nagar, a supporter threw stones at police personnel and local residents. But the matter was resolved. There was some tension near a polling station in Janakpuri after police prevented people from gathering near the facility. But no FIR related to violence was filed,” a senior police officer said.

“An inspector was injured after supporter of a leader threw stones at him. The matter was resolved and no FIR was filed,” the officer added. In other areas too, policemen did not allow people to gather outside polling stations to ensure that there was no untoward incident. Also, mobile phones were not allowed which irked many.

In Rajouri Garden, there was allegation of bogus voting but no complaint was filed.
