Arunachal CM Khandu meets Sonia

Arunachal Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, who won a thumping two-thirds victory for the Congress in the state, today met Congress President Sonia Gandhi ahead of the allocation of portfolios in the state Cabinet.

Arunachal Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, who won a thumping two-thirds victory for the Congress in the state, today met Congress President Sonia Gandhi ahead of the allocation of portfolios in the state Cabinet.

While Khandu took the oath of office on Sunday to start his second stint as chief minister after being elected CLP leader unanimously on Saturday, his ministerial colleagues are yet to take oath.

The Chief Minister had on Monday told reporters that the expansion of his ministry would be effected within 10 days.

Arunachal Pradesh with 60 MLAs can have a ministry with a maximum strength of 12 under the law.
