A senior citizen was killed and two others were seriously injured after an attendant set afire their room at an old age home near Gole Market in central Delhi.

The attendant had reportedly had a fight with the three senior citizens earlier.
VR Santosh Kumar alias Anand, 42, was arrested for setting afire the room at Antyodaya Chetana Ashram, run by the NGO Antyodaya, in the dead of night, at around 3.00am, on Monday.
Kumar, originally from Kerala, was working as an electrician-cum-attendant at the old age home for the last two to three years. The home housed only six inmates, all around 75.
"Some of the senior citizens would tease him about a personal problem he had. Last night, there was again an altercation between the senior citizens and the attendant," police said.
Kumar allegedly bolted the room where Mohan Lal, Raghuvir Singh and another senior citizen - known only by one name, Arora - lived, poured petrol on the door and set it alight.
Guards from nearby buildings saw the flames and called in the fire department. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot and three injured were rushed to the nearby Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
"Lal and Singh were sent to Lok Nayak hospital while Arora succumbed to his injuries," police added.
