BJP treasurer in hot spot over DB Realty connection?

“I have never been engaged in relation to their telecom business. My engagement with them ended over an year ago with the IPO of DB Realty. Even my professional fee in lieu thereof has not yet been realised because of current issues in their group,” Goel said.

He said, “my relationship with their real estate company was as a professional. I reiterate that I never had anything to do even professionally as far as their communication/telecom business is concerned.”

Goel was reacting to reports the CBI was probing his links with with DB Realty promoters Shahid Balwa and Vinod Goenka, who are now in jail in connection with the scam.

“Some reports have appeared in media alleging my professional companies’ relationship with DB Realty. I therefore consider it necessary to put the facts in the correct perspective,” he said.
