Blinded by fog
A 26-year-old call center employee, who was allegedly drunk, was killed when his car collided head on with a police crane near Majnu ka Tila in north Delhi.
Fog has claimed two more lives in the Capital.

A 26-year-old call center employee, who was allegedly drunk, was killed when his car collided head on with a police crane near Majnu ka Tila in north Delhi.
Punyanand Sharma was returning home in his Santro car when it rammed into a tow away crane of Delhi Traffic Police coming from the opposite direction at Harphool Singh Marg on Outer Ring Road. The police said he probably lost way in fog and rammed into the crane.
Sharma worked with a Guragon-based call center. The police said he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
“He was rushed to Sushruta Trauma Centre where he was declared dead on arrival,” said Sagarpreet Hooda, DCP (north). The incident was reported around 12.55 am on Sunday. The postmortem report revealed that Sharma was drunk at the time of
accident.
A case of rash driving and death due to negligence has been registered at the Civil Lines police station. No arrests have been made.
In another accident involving a pile-up of four vehicles, one person was killed and four were injured on Gautam Buddha Expressway on Saturday night.
A dumper coming from Greater Noida collided with a stationary truck near Sultanpur on Saturday. Then, a car rammed into the dumper and another dumper hit the car from behind.
“Dumper truck driver Rajesh Kumar (30) died on the way to the hospital. Helper Davender Kumar fractured both legs. He was admitted to the district hospital," said Anil Samania, Sector 39 Station House Officer.
The occupants of the car, a family of four, were injured in the accident.
