“We have received as many as 50 queries including emails, phone calls and personal visits about the victim. However, these have been routine enquiries,” said Bhairon Singh Gurjar, additional deputy commissioner of police (railways).

The Delhi police, however, have decided to give her relatives three more days to come forward.

Sources said that the police had reason to believe that the woman was killed hours before her body was found.

“Though we are yet to conduct her autopsy, we are certain that she was killed at 6am on that day. Not just that, in all probability, her murder took place within a 5km radius of the railway station,” a senior police officer said.

According to the police, the body was found in a black carry bag, at the station’s autorickshaw stand.

The body had on black sweater and printed trousers and had a peacock tattooed on the right side of her abdomen and a pierced bellybutton.
