Businessman found dead in his Narela house

A 42-year-old hotelier was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his home in Narela in northwest Delhi on Sunday.

A 42-year-old hotelier was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his home in Narela in northwest Delhi on Sunday.

His body was found with a gunshot wound in the head. Though the family say they suspected it to be suicide, police were not ruling out any foul play.

Ashish Pal Khatri owned six hotels in Delhi and was constructing another one in UP. He had returned from a business trip on Saturday.

Khatri was reportedly under huge debt. In the wee hours on Sunday, his wife Babita who was in the adjacent room woke up to the noise of a gunshot. Khatri was found in a pool of blood.
