The Delhi Police have arrested five women from Uzbekistan including an alleged pimp who was running a call girl racket from the posh Uday Park area.

Police nabbed them after a tip-off about a high profile sex racket involving foreign nationals being run from the area in South Delhi.

The police said all the women are from Uzbekistan and are here on a tourist visa.

“A decoy customer contacted the pimp and they agreed to meet at a place at Uday Park. The pimp said that the girls would be made available on payment of Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000,” said Ashok Chand, deputy commissioner of police (Crime).

A deal was struck and part payment was made to the pimp.

“She then took the decoy inside the premises situated on the 1st floor. A raid was conducted and four girls and the woman pimp were apprehended,” added Chand.

“As the India-Pakistan match was on, the girls had no prior appointments. So when a decoy customer went to the designated spot we found that instead of two there were five call girls,” said a senior police officer on the condition of anonymity.

The girls are in their early twenties. Police said that the pimp was staying in India for the last two years on a multiple entry visa.

“She has operated in different areas of South Delhi. She has been shifting her base frequently to avoid detection. She has been putting up at a rented accommodation in Uday Park for the past six months,” Chand said.
