CBSE class 10 results declared, girls outshine boys

The Central Board of Secondary Education today declared the Class X results which recorded a pass percentage of 98.76, a marginal increase over last year.

The Central Board of Secondary Education on Thursday declared the Class X results which recorded a pass percentage of 98.76, a marginal increase over last year.

Girls once again outshone boys in the results. The pass percentage of girls stood at 98.94% as compared to 98.64% of boys.

According to a CBSE statement, the pass percentage in Chennai region at 99.80 was the highest in the country.

The results in that region were declared on May 26.

In total, 1,25,7893 candidates were registered for Class X examination this year, an increase of about 6.67% over last year.

CBSE Class X results are reflected in grades.

Candidates can now check their CBSE Class 10 Result 2013 on the following websites:

www.results.nic.in
www.cbseresults.nic.in
www.cbse.nic.in.


Results through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS)

The board with the help of NIC would disseminate its results through IVRS as well, the rates for which per roll number would be 30paise per minute.

The telephone numbers of NIC and other organisations through IVRS, where results can be seen are:

NIC: 011-24357276, for subscribers in other parts of the country
MTNL: 011-28127030, for subscribers in other parts of the country

The rates for SMS registration and communication of results per roll number will be 50paise for all service providers.

Transport dept readies command centre to track govt buses in real-time

Passengers can make use of this service through the ‘Chartr’ app. Almost all the buses now have QR code stickers pasted on the back of each seat which can be scanned to make payment through the app.

No Delhi parks to be booked for events

Delhi govt notifies rules for doorstep ration delivery

According to the notification document, the scheme will be optional, and beneficiaries of the existing TPDS (targeted public distribution system) may choose to enrol for the scheme or continue under the existing TPDS.
