I have called upon the Maharashtra government to track down the culprits involved in vandalism in the lobby of Hotel Intercontinental, The Grand, in Mumbai and book them, Tourism Minister Ambika Soni said in New Delhi.

Soni said when we are trying our best to put tourism back on track after Mumbai terror attacks, these kind of vandalism of hotel property should not be allowed.

"I condemn the act of vandalism and demand strict action against those involved in the incident," she said adding, "whatever is the issue, it should have been handled lawfully."

A group of at least 400 Shiv Sena-controlled union activists yesterday damaged the lobby of the hotel while protesting against the sacking of some employees.
