India can achieve 10-11% growth only if Naxalism is controlled, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told Indian Police Service probationers.
The PM said it was important to devise strategies to address socio-economic roots of dissatisfaction among tribals.
Over 615 civilians and 267 security personnel were killed in Naxal violence this year.
