The lowest temperature was recorded at 6.5 degree Celsius, which is one degree below the normal range at this time of the year, the MeT office said. The minimum on Saturday was 5.5 degree Celsius.
The day temperature on Saturday was 23.3 degrees, which is one degree above normal for this time. In the past 24 hours ending 8.30 AM, the city received 0.5 mm of rainfall.
The city has been experiencing pleasant weather last week but the chill was back in the air in the last couple of days.
The weatherman has forecast mist or shallow fog in the morning followed by partly cloudy on Monday.
According to MeT statistics, the record for the minimum temperature in January is -0.6 degree C recorded on 16th of the month in 1935.
In the last decade, only last year the minimum did not drop below five degree C. In 2006, the minimum dropped to 0.2 degree C on January 8, while two years later, the lowest minimum was 1.9 degree C on 2nd of the month.
