Those planning to fly out of the capital for Christmas celebrations, can breathe a sigh of relief as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted the absence of dense fog in the following days.
"The minimum temperature recorded early this morning was 6.4 degrees. The mercury is likely to drop further in the coming week, owing to snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir," a Met department official told IANS.
"It was a clear morning with no fog," the official said, adding "There is no possibility of a dense fog in the next few days. We expect very slight fog."
The maximum temperature is expected to be around 21.1 degrees.
