The CISF has decided to open a crèche for the children at Mahipalpur, where the force has a barrack for the staff posted at airport. The CISF has nearly 4,500 personnel posted at both domestic and international terminals.

Of these, over 1,000 are women and most of the staff are married.

The centre will have various facilities to take care of the needs of children. “The centre is not only for women but for anyone, who is married and is finding it difficult to bring up their children when away at work. Their duty hours extend up to eight hours and if both husband and wife both are working, it is difficult to devote time to children,” said a senior CISF official.
