The CBI is likely to submit an affidavit on Friday in Supreme Court on whether or not one of its earlier status reports on its probe into the coal scam had been shared with anyone in the political executive, HT reports.

The CBI is likely to submit an affidavit on Friday in Supreme Court on whether or not one of its earlier status reports on its probe into the coal scam had been shared with anyone in the political executive.

The agency had filed a status report on March 8 with regard to its probe in the alleged irregularities in the coal allocation scam, which was heard by the apex court on March 12.

The apex court had directed the CBI director to file an affidavit that the status report submitted by it was vetted by him and not shared with the political executive and that the same would be followed in future.
