Taking into consideration evidence as well as witnesses, Additional Sessions Judge Bimla Devi on Thursday found the accused prima facie guilty for murder under Section 302 and destruction of evidence under Section 201 of the IPC, paving the way for his trial.

Delhi Police have arrested Jha on May 20 last year from his residence in west Delhi following a number of bodies were found outside Tihar jail over a period of time.

The police, which earlier claimed to have solved the murder cases of as many as seven persons with his arrest, could file chargesheet against him in three cases.

The court, which framed charges against Jha in the murder case of one Upender, also asked the investigating officer in the case to hand over copies of 61 photographs collected by him as evidence during the recoveries of the bodies.

The mutilated body of Upender was found by the police on April 25 last year.
