Raj Kumar, 46, a resident of central Delhi, was arrested on May 10 after he was found in possession of illicit liquor. A case under the Excise Act was registered against him and he was remanded in judicial custody by a local court.
Barely five days in judicial custody, Kumar, was admitted to the DDU hospital, without any complaint of ill health. His family was also allegedly not informed about it.
He, however, died after a week of hospitalisation. It was only after his death that his family was informed about his hospitalisation. The doctor's report showed alleged injury marks on Kumar's body.
