The Congress Working Committee meeting will seek feedback from among 170-odd delegates from across the country while trying to craft a winning electoral strategy, reports HT Correspondent.
Are the chances of a Congress-UPA victory better if Lok Sabha polls are held early or should the party go as per schedule? That is among the many questions that may come up when the extended Congress Working Committee (CWC) meets on Saturday to discuss the party’s prospects for the year-end assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Sources said there is no clear move in the AICC to hold the general elections earlier than scheduled. “But who knows what state leaders feel? Our main focus will be on how to win the next round of state and Lok Sabha polls,” said a CWC member.
The CWC meeting, chaired by Sonia Gandhi and attended by PM Manmohan Singh, would seek feedback from among 170-odd delegates from across the country while trying to craft a winning electoral strategy. It would also discuss issues like alliances and price rise. Elections are slated in BJP-ruled MP, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, and in Congress-ruled Delhi besides Mizoram and J&K.
