According to a DSIIDC spokesperson, the corporation will organise a business forum on Friday in Delhi where business representatives of both Russia and India will try to identify sectors for enhanced mutual cooperation.
The DSIIDC plans to organise a fashion show by Valentin Yudashkin, a Russian designer, on Sunday. A vibrant canvas of Russian fashion will be showcased at this event, the DSIIDC spokesperson said.
Relations between India and Russia are strategic in nature, characterised by friendship, mutual trust and confidence, a DSIIDC statement stressed.
Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit visited Russia in 2002 and signed a joint statement with the mayor of Moscow to have mutual co-operation in fields of common interests between the cities.
The Dikshit government had organised a Days of Delhi festival in Moscow in 2006.
