The hearing comes at a time when the civic body is pushing for the recovery of Rs 92 lakh in dues from the DDCA and the cricket body wants it waived as it is engaged in the promotion of sports.

“As of now, the court has not admitted the case though it is hearing their appeal. So we have a right to claim dues,” said Deep Mathur, the Director of Press Information, MCD. “We can pursue the demand for tax and have already given them the deadline.”

Interestingly, as per the letter it shot to the DDCA, a copy of which is with the Hindustan Times, the DDCA should have paid the dues by now. When apprised of this fact, the MCD said that they will pursue the case soon, though it failed to confirm when.

Tanmay’s ton takes ONGC into final

New Delhi: Tanmay Srivastava (155 runs) and Praveen Gupta (3-38) helped ONGC beat R.P.Cricket Academy by 83 runs and enter the final of the Om Nath Sood tournament. Srivastava hit 14 fours and six sixes. For ONGC, Srivastava and Mohd. Saif (46*) put up a 166 runs partnership for the 5th wicket.
