Delhi blast emails can be fake: Home secretary

Union home secretary RK Singh on Saturday said that it wasn't necessary that the emails claiming responsibility for the Delhi high court blast were sent by the actual perpetrators.

Union home secretary RK Singh on Saturday said that it wasn't necessary that the emails claiming responsibility for the Delhi high court blast were sent by the actual perpetrators.

"We are not dismissing receiving the emails. At the same time, we are not saying that these emails have been necessarily sent by those people responsible for the blast," Singh told reporters.

"It could be other people who, when they heard about the blast, sent these emails," he added.

A bomb blast outside the Delhi high court on Wednesday killed 13 people and injured more than 90.
