Delhi: Fire at shop in Kashmere Gate Metro Station

"No interchange was available at Kashmere Gate from 2.05 PM onwards due to smoke after the fire broke out in a shop at concourse level of underground section of the station," a DMRC spokesperson said.

Metro train services were briefly disrupted at Kashmere Gate Station on Friday after a fire broke out in a shop here.

"No interchange was available at Kashmere Gate from 2.05 PM onwards due to smoke after the fire broke out in a shop at concourse level of underground section of the station," a DMRC spokesperson said.

"Station skip given to both Line-1 and Line-2 for Kashmere Gate," the spokesperson said, adding that several passengers were evacuated to a safer place.

The services, however, resumed at 2.30 PM.
