As part of a mega drive, Delhi government has planted one million saplings across the city in the last three weeks with an aim to increase the green cover from current 20% to national target of 33%.

Chief minister Sheila Dikshit complemented environment department and other concerned agencies for the drive describing it as a "resounding success".
The government had launc-hed the scheme last month to plant one million saplings in cooperation with NGOs, industry chambers, government agencies RWAs and citizens.
