Delhi Metro official sent back to Indian Railways

Delhi Metro chief E. Sreedharan on Wednesday gave marching orders to Vijay Anand, a senior director in charge of the Central Secretariat-Badarpur line where an accident killed six people Sunday.

Delhi Metro chief E. Sreedharan on Wednesday gave marching orders to Vijay Anand, a senior director in charge of the Central Secretariat-Badarpur line where an accident killed six people Sunday.

"Sreedharan Wednesday ordered the repatriation of Vijay Anand, director (projects) of Delhi Metro, who was the director in-charge of the Central Secretariat-Badarpur line of Phase-II which is under construction," the Delhi Metro Rail Corp (DMRC) said in a statement.

"He will now return to Indian Railways, from where he was deputed to the DMRC. The government has been informed about it," said a DMRC official.
