“We’re sensitising people on the history of Hindu-Muslim civilisation and conducting peace meetings,” a police officer said on Wednesday.

Police also said forces on Games duty have been pulled out and deployed at sensitive areas.

"We do not foresee any problem, but forces are on standby that would be mobilised and deployed in case of any problem," said the officer. Police said the Indian Army's help would also be availed if needed.

"The city is already on a high alert due to the Games. Besides the venues we have to secure the city as well, so we don't see any problem ahead of the verdict," said Rajan Bhagat, Delhi Police spokesman.

"We just convened a meeting with ulemas and Hindu leaders. Aspects of both the civilisations were discussed," said Hafiz Mohaamd Javed, a local leader in Jama Masjid.
