Delhi to get better liquor

The Capital can now boast of better quality country liquor, thanks to the Delhi government.

The government has decided to supply country liquor based on ENA (Extra Neutral Alcohol) from 2010, Delhi Finance Minister Dr A K Walia said. Earlier country liquor being supplied was made out of rectified spirit (RS). He said a lot of impurities are removed during the distillation process of extra neutral alcohol.

“However, the alcoholic strength of the liquor has been retained at 28.5 per cent.”
