“I appeal to Delhiites to protest outside the L-G House for complaints regarding electricity, water, pension, corruption in Delhi as all powers lie with him,” he said a day after the Delhi high court ruled that the the L-G was Delhi’s administrative head.

He said the Aam Aadmi Party expectes the L-G will continue to work for public good and against corruption.

“Since the situation has changed after Thursday’s judgment, we expect that all the work that the Delhi government was doing for public good and our battle against corruption will now be carried forward by the L-G with the same commitment and honesty with which the Delhi government was performing,” he said.

Ashutosh suggested some cases that the L-G should take up immediately.

“The L-G should immediately take action based on the FIR filed against Reliance Industries Limited managing director Mukesh Ambani and former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit. He should initiate action in the CNG fitness scam, in which he is an accused himself. He should explain what he plans to do about all the legislations passed by the Delhi Assembly for the benefit of the people, which have been blocked by the union home ministry,” he said.

The government has decided to appeal the high court’s decision in the Supreme Court.

“We respect the judgment of the Delhi high court, but fundamentally disagree with it and are hopeful that the Supreme Court will rule in our favour. As a party that respects the Constitution and the judiciary, we will obey the decision of the high court… Until this case continues to be heard by the Supreme Court, we hope that the L-G will use his authority and power to work for the people of Delhi and continue AAP’s fight against corruption. If he fails to perform this duty, we will present our case to the highest court of this country,” he said.
