Depressed builder kills self in west delhi

A 33-year-old builder succumbed to injuries on Saturday after he attempted to commit suicide by shooting himself with his licensed pistol. HT reports.

A 33-year-old builder succumbed to injuries on Saturday after he attempted to commit suicide by shooting himself with his licensed pistol.

The incident happened at his Tilak Nagar residence where Arora lives along with his family. Rajesh Arora was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhayay Hospital where he succumbed to injuries during treatment.

According to preliminary investigation, Arora was living without his wife for many years and was in continuous depression after the separation.

On Saturday, Arora was home when suddenly his mother heard a gunshot inside the house. "She ran towards the bathroom only to see her son lying in a pool of blood," said a relative. Arora had shot himself with his brother's licensed pistol.

The police are investigating the matter and body was handed over the family after medico legal formalities.
