Sources said the Shalimar Bagh legislator sent her resignation to chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on his directions. Party volunteers had complained Kumari and her husband had worked against the Aam Aadmi Party candidate in the municipal bypolls in Shalimar Bagh North constituency.

“Some volunteers had complained to the chief minister that Bandana Kumari and her husband had worked against the party candidate,” a senior party leader said.

Sources said the two-time legislator was unhappy as the party refused to give ticket to the party worker recommended by her.
